BEHIND THE LENS

My name is Zsolt. I was born in Transylvania, in a smallish town called Saint George. After finishing high school I attended European Studies university which I left unfortunately and then I decided to do 3 years of Teacher Training college. I have done work experience in between, teaching in remote village schools or in my college town. I have also workers for a local newspaper for a while as an editor. A year after finishing college I have decided to do a volunteer year in an intentional community working with people with learning difficulties. This community is part of a movement called Camphill. There lots of Camphill places around the world, in Europe, Africa, US, Canada, Russia. After my voluntary year I have decided to stay on, and truth be told I've been volunteering ever since. It has been nine years now. I've had all sorts of experiences in the weird and wonderful world of Camphill. I also had the opportunity to meet young folk from various countries, and I have made a lot of friends. I managed to travel to places, and had great times in countries in Europe, visited Japan a couple of times, had the beach experience under the scorching sun of Morocco. I guess I was cut out for something like this, because I cannot stop, I need to carry on traveling, seeing new places, meeting new and exciting people. Wherever I go, I take my camera with me. I'm an amateur photographer, I still have a lot to discover about my camera and I'm taking photos which reflect some of my experiences. I also write about some of them. I had a series of photo-blog attempts...and this site is one of those. I hope all of the visitors of this site enjoy my photos, and take some time to read some of my stories.
